Acceptance Commitment Therapy
Being human is to experience a wide range of thoughts and emotions, from love, happiness, and fulfillment, to sadness, hurt, and fear and doubt. When people are distressed they tend to believe negative thoughts and become stuck. Thoughts are not facts. We don’t have to believe everything we think.
ACT offers a path to get unstuck and increase psychological flexibility. It starts with empathy to validate one’s experience. From there it is allowing and accepting one’s thoughts and emotions to be whatever they are and still live the life you desire.
ACT helps you connect with your values that guide the direction of your life toward meaning and purpose, on your terms. Simply put, ACT combines mindfulness and self compassion with meaningful behavior change anchored in one’s values.
Internal Family Systems
We are all made up of many parts, each with its own voice, emotions, and role in our inner world. Some parts protect us, some carry our pain, and others express our creativity and potential. Often, these parts can become stuck in patterns of fear, conflict, or overwhelm, making it hard to feel calm, connected, or safe.
IFS offers a compassionate framework to understand and work with these parts, rather than being ruled by them. At its core is the belief that we all have an innate Self—a calm, confident, and wise center capable of guiding our inner system toward balance and harmony.
Through IFS, people learn to listen to their parts with curiosity and compassion, build internal trust, and create meaningful shifts in their behavior and relationships. It’s a journey of self-discovery that empowers individuals to integrate all parts of themselves, fostering resilience, emotional intelligence, and personal transformation.
IFS transforms internal dialogue into a tool for healing and growth, helping you live a life aligned with your true Self.
